Vail Golf Club extends special season rates

Vail Golf Club Extends Special Season Rates Through July 21

The Vail Golf Club has extended its special season rates through July 21 offering some of the best rates in the mountains.

Guests can enjoy nine holes for $47 or 18 for $74, including cart; Eagle County residents can play nine holes for $42 or 18 for $69, including cart; and Vail residents can enjoy nine holes for $42 or 18 for $64, including cart.

Those wishing to walk the course can enjoy amazing rates as well. Guests can walk the course and play nine holes for $35 or 18 holes for $55; Eagle County Residents can walk the course and play nine holes for $30 or 18 holes for $50; or, Vail Residents can walk the course and play nine holes for $30 or 18 holes for $45.

The course and driving range are open from 6:30 a.m. to dusk daily (driving ranges closes at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays). Additionally, until July 21, golfers who book tee times between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. will receive one free small basket of range balls. Beginning July 22, the golf course will operate at peak season rates.

According to Vail Golf Club Superintendent Steve Sarro, the Vail Golf Club is extending the special season rates while the course continues to dry from the wet spring. Sarro says conditions on the course are amazing and it’s playing great, but the Gore Creek continues to flow at record levels making some areas wetter than normal and not ready for peak season rate play. “We are working hard to offer our golfers the best conditions possible given the current water levels of the Gore Creek,” said Sarro. “The Gore (Creek) is running 200 percent above normal making for a high water table along certain areas of the course. That being said, golfers will continue to experience damp conditions on the front nine in some areas until the water level goes down. We won’t operate at peak season rates until the course is in top condition for our golfers.”

Golf lessons continue to be offered daily by appointment and Happy Valley Grill is also open offering its full menu of Rocky Mountain fare at its best.
