Vail Film Festival

The Vail Film Festival kicks off today through Sunday at the Cascade Theater and the Cinebistro in Solaris along with several other events throughout the villages. Four day festival passes start at $50, you can also volunteer for the event. On Saturday at the Vilar Performing Arts Center there is a free screening at 4:30 for The Eagle Huntress a  tale about a 13 year old's epic journey. Vail Veterans

Most people that have visited Vail know that our little slice of heaven was greatly influenced and by the impact of the 10th Mountain Division and it's soldiers. Many of the soldiers who fought in World War II had a common love for the outdoors, which translated to skiing.  And for some that passion led to the development of America's ski industry, especially here in Vail. Time to Winterize

When the rest of the country thinks about getting ready for winter they think about collecting fire wood, switching to snow tires, putting the snow brush back in the car and getting out boots and sweaters.
